Kamchatka Ski Touring

The land of volcanoes at the end of the world.

The picturesque Kamchatka Peninsula is located in the far east of Russia – a true natural paradise. Unique impressions and experiences are awaiting, when you swing between volcanos, bears and geysers. The area is also one regions with the highest snow guarantee worldwide.

The on-site accommodation is in ‘Snow Valley’, making it the perfect starting point for the days ahead. Ski tours between 700 and 2000 meters altitude await you with breath taking descents. The absolute highlights of the trip when good conditions are Mutnovsky volcano up to 2,322 m, into whose crater a glacier flows, and the Gorely volcano, which is considered the most active volcano in the area.

During the 9 days there will also be the opportunity for a heliskiing day.

A key success factor in expeditions is being in good shape. Train in the months before the expedition! Several hour climbs with a backpack and around 1,000 meters per day should not be a problem for you. You have to carry your own personal equipment on the mountain.

local_hospital Health

We recommend that each participant undergoes a medical examination prior to the expedition. Good health is a prerequisite for participation. Particularly important is a visit to the dentist because previously unnoticed dental problems can become quite acute due to the sudden change in pressure conditions in higher altitudes.

Ski Touring always lies in the participant‘s personal responsibility, while led by the mountain guide.
