Experience a ski-safari through northern Canada and Alaska with a touch of adventure. Campers, campfires, elk burgers and the most spectacular Heliski and ski touring areas in the world.

An incredible adventure – a ski-safari with campers, guided by our best mountain guides through northern Canada and Alaska (Yukon & BC). Heliskiing at the best, most exclusive and most legendary spots in the world. Not more and not less. This unique experience is available now and only here at Furtenbach Adventures. For experienced skiers who have already seen a lot and still search for the adventure of their life.

On this journey we are driving to and ski at White Pass, Skagway, Haines, Valdez, Atlin and many other places. We cater for ourselves in our comfortable RVs, have barbeques in the snow and after a long skiing day we enjoy a beer while watching the northern sunset. As soon as the season in Europe comes to an end, we are going to start this great adventure. Because then, we will find longer days, more stable weather and epic snow conditions in Alaska and northern Canada. For many people, this travel alone is the journey of their life. For us it is just a means of transportation at this ultimate search for the best runs and spots.

For those who can spare 2 weeks of their time and bring the necessary spirit, a lifelong dream might come true. This travel is our baby – no one else can offer anything comparable.

Difficulty / Technique
Heliskiing / Ski Touring always lies in the participant‘s personal responsibility, while led by the mountain guide. Participants must be able to move safely and independently in different snow conditions and steep terrain. For Ski Touring members should be able to perform kick-turns. The guide is there to provide guidance for the whole group, the possibilities for him to respond to individual needs is limited. It is imperative that participants adhere to the instructions and decisions made by the mountain guide. Regardless, each participant must know their own physical limits, and be able to make a timely decision to turn back.

Physical fitness
A key success factor in ski touring trips is being in good shape. We will ski down up to 3000 vertical meters every day in varying snow condition.

Please note which equipment is included under the point “What the price includes”. We will supply you with adequate safety equipment (avalanche airbag, shovel, probe and avalanche transceive)

We recommend that each participant undergoes a medical examination prior to the expedition. Good health is a prerequisite for participation. Particularly important is a visit to the dentist because previously unnoticed dental problems can become quite acute due to the sudden change in pressure conditions in higher altitudes.
