Accessibility Statement

Furtenbach Adventures GmbH is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Web-Zugänglichkeits-Gesetz (WZG BGBl. I. Nr. 59/2019 idgF).

This accessibility statement applies to https://www.furtenbachadventures.com.

Compliance Status

This website is partially compliant with Conformance Level AA of the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1” and the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) according to Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:

a. Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

  • Missing or insufficient alt-texts on some images: While most images are correctly provided with alt-texts, some are missing, especially partner logos and certain content images.
  • Color contrast: Some color combinations on the website do not fully meet the WCAG requirement of 4.5:1, but have been chosen to align with the corporate design.
  • Multiple nav elements without unique ARIA labels: The mobile navigation (.pushy) and the main navigation (.main-navigation) now have distinct ARIA labels, but earlier versions were not clearly defined.

b. Disproportionate burden

A complete review and adjustment of all historical content, especially older blog posts and image galleries, currently represents a disproportionate burden. Future content will be maintained according to WCAG 2.1 AA standards.

c. The content is not within the scope of the applicable legislation

  • Embedded third-party elements (e.g., Instagram gallery, Vimeo videos): These external contents are provided by their respective platforms and are not fully under our control.

Enforcement procedure

If the response from the above contact is not satisfactory, you may file a complaint with the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG).

The FFG accepts complaints filed online via the electronic contact form.

The FFG will examine whether the complaint relates to violations of the Web-Zugänglichkeits-Gesetz (WZG), particularly to failure on the part of the federal government or associated institutions to comply with the accessibility requirements.

If the complaint is justified, the FFG will make recommendations for action to the federal government or the legal entities concerned and propose measures designed to remedy the problem.

Further information on the enforcement procedure can be found on the official FFG website: https://www.ffg.at/beschwerdestelle
